“Little, rarely and in the right place”
This is the motto of Doctor Michel Pistor, a French doctor who developed the mesotherapy technique in 1952: “little, rarely and in the right place”.
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive procedure where micro-needles are used to improve the appearance of skin. It helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, preventing and treating the first signs of ageing.
A series of micro injections are used to painlessly deliver products into the skin. The mechanical action of the transdermal injection itself, plus the products stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and regeneration; all enhance the brightness of the skin – the ‘Glow Effect’.
Initially vitamins, enzymes, natural extracts and trace elements were injected, but today, thanks to the addition of new hyaluronic acids, the results are amplified. Not only does the skin react to the micro-needling and the increase in volume, as a result of the hyaluronic acid, but the stimulation helps the skin look smoother, plumper and more hydrated.
Mesotherapy is suitable for all skin types for adult patients and can be used on the face and neck. Results are visible immediately and more than one session is recommended.
Although it can be used throughout the year, Dr Trévidic follows a protocol of treatment twice a year. The first before summer and the second on the return from the holidays, which will help rehydrate skin which has been affected by the sun.
